Introducing our group
We are friendly and welcoming group; aiming to create a space where people, living with or after cancer, can gather in a community of hopefulness, to share stories, reflect on the intersection of their faith and their diagnosis and pray for one another.
The group is for anyone affected by cancer – either personally, or through supporting others. Our leaders have personal experience of cancer and caring for family members with cancer. You don’t need to be a Christian to be involved and all our welcome. We are happy to meet or have a call to tell you more about the group.
The group offers a safe and confidential space to share feelings and concerns with people who understand. Although meeting content varies, typically we gather over refreshments and have some time to share what’s going on for us. We usually have a focus for each meeting and make some time to look at the Bible and pray. Sometimes we have a guest speaker! We realise that some people want to talk freely and others prefer to participate by listening and watching and that is all ok.
You would be so welcome to come and try us out and we would love to support you as you navigate your cancer diagnosis.
