We are a small, friendly group of people. Some are going through treatment; some have finished, and some are carers. All have some experience of the cancer journey and can understand the complexity of cancer and share experiences. The group is open to anyone experiencing cancer whether personally, as a carer or family member, or as a health professional. You don’t have to be a Christian to come along.
We start with refreshments and a chance to chat together. It’s an opportunity to discover you are not alone, and that it’s a safe place to share your feelings and fears with people who understand. It is by no means a morbid time: at times we laugh and cry together.
After coffee we share some words of encouragement from the Bible and maybe listen to some music. We then pray for people who have contacted us, for their families, and also for each other.
There is no expectation for everyone to join in prayer, and It’s all completely confidential.
A group may not be for everyone, so we also offer one-to-one support or prayer if you let us know. Please contact us for further details.
