Introducing our group
We are a new, small, warm and friendly group; aiming to support our members on their cancer journey. The group is for anyone affected by cancer – either personally, or through supporting others. Our leaders have personal experience of cancer and caring for family members with cancer. You don’t need to be a Christian to be involved and we encourage you to ‘try out’ our group with no obligation.
We offer refreshments (free of charge) and a time to chat with each other – about our cancer journey or anything else. We keep our meetings light-hearted and informal, but are mindful of the difficulties our group members face. It’s a safe and confidential space to share feelings and concerns with people who understand.
After refreshments, we will take time to share bible readings and to pray for each other and for wider group members. This could be in the group, or individually, but you will not be expected to join in prayer.
