Macmillan Cancer Support
There is lots of very helpful information on all aspects of cancer on the Macmillan Cancer Support website, as well as other helpful websites. You can also phone the Macmillan Support Line on 0808 808 0000, seven days a week, 8am til 8pm for emotional, practical and financial support when you are affected by cancer. Macmillan also has a live chat option, email support and a Macmillan Online Community forum where patients can connect and share experiences e.g. finding travel insurance/advice on coping with treatment. Macmillan also have an ‘In Your Area’ section where you can type your postcode and find local groups and sources of support: Local Dashboard Choose Location - Macmillan Cancer - Macmillan Cancer Support. Many areas have Macmillan Information and Support Services which you can visit in person to talk to an advisor for emotional, practical and financial support. These are also based around the country and provide holistic support, emotional, financial and practical help, as well as running courses and support groups.
